Extension at Landvetter airport

Getting the heavy concrete frame in place in a narrow courtyard requires a bit more than usual. A 30 t/m traditional mobile crane was the largest that managed to pass the gate height of 3.4 meters, to enter the yard together with our 150 t/m crawler truck crane.

With good cooperation, the structure was lifted into place during two nights when traffic at the airport is at its lowest. The heaviest beam in the picture weighed 18 tons. Since the trailers with 30 tons of load did not reach the height of the gate either, they had to be pulled in on skates through the gate.
