A nudge in the right direction

A garage in Enskede was too close to subdivided land, so the choice was between demolishing or moving…

Then, of course, you choose to move. And then, of course, you call us at Tunga Lyft.
The garage was 24 sqm, weighed 21 tons, had to be moved 60 cm, and because it was cast with a concrete slab on ground, we could try a new method.

Usually when we move houses, we dig under the whole house, insert beams and then lift and ‘roll’ the house on the beams. This is time-consuming, expensive and often causes little damage to the house.

But this time the conditions for testing a new technology were more favorable. Instead of digging under the entire house, we only had to dig around it, then used pallets and 4 jacks that we pushed the house with.

A method that is more time efficient, more cost effective and does not cause any damage to the house. So now we know it works and will use this method more in the future – under the right conditions, of course.
