After the major fire in a locomotive shed at Hässleholm station, trains are now running as usual. We at Tunga lyft have previously replaced a couple of escalators at the station, and now it’s time for a few more.
Changing escalators is always crowded and complex, but this station is even more demanding. Usually we take out escalators up or down, but here we take them out in the middle of the shack. They will then be shifted sideways and rolled onto the platform, where trucks and trolleys will move them between the escalator building and the track.
That area is 2 meters wide, while the escalator itself is 1.6 meters wide, so a tailor-made lifting system was required specifically for this mission.
No problem for us, of course, but you will be impressed, won’t you?
