Congratulations to all of you who love old buses, trams and metro trains – the vehicles are now moving into the new premises of the Tramway Museum!
We helped relocate the museum when it left its premises in Södermalm, and it is scheduled to reopen at the end of 2020 in Gasverket in Stockholm Royal Seaport. The new premises are largely completed and the first vehicles have started to move in.
When it came to bringing in vehicles on the second floor, they contacted us, and so far we have brought in a trolleybus, an old SL bus and half a metro car weighing five tons.
We then got them up to the second floor using a specially built material lift, as the roof was too low to use a crane.
When you look at half a metro carriage that will soon be showing its splendor again, you get a feeling. That’s just the way it is.
