About the company
Tunga Lyft AB are experts in lifting – we lift everything from safes to bridges and houses. We customize our solutions for each customer, and we adapt each deal to all parts of our services such as; lifting, assembly, transport, launching, consulting, construction, design and lifting management. Tunga Lyft AB has offices and depots in Linköping, Stockholm, Gothenburg, Malmö, Luleå and Karlstad, but operates all over the country. The company has good profitability and is willing to invest, we have a turnover of about 140 MSEK and 70 employees.
CAD engineer / Technical salesman to Tunga Lyft AB
Imagine lifting a 2 500-ton bridge. Or moving a 20-ton generator out of a cramped industrial space. It is heavy and difficult lifting… But it is also something that Tunga Lyft AB has done every day for more than 70 years. We are now growing and looking for another CAD engineer/technical salesperson – a key role in making the lifts last!
Your tasks
As a CAD engineer/technical salesperson, you will play a central role and collaborate with large parts of the company. You will have an outreach role with customer visits in your sales department. You will produce calculations, preparations, risk analyses and schedules for projects. It is your task to provide support for customer projects. The projects vary greatly in terms of product to be lifted or moved, complexity, weight and environment.
In this role, you will have a varied and dynamic daily routine. One moment you are sitting in AutoCAD/Inventor and creating drawings, the next moment you are presenting the results to the client and the third moment you are out in the field and see in reality that the calculations and preparations you have made work and hold. The position involves some planned travel, and outreach activities. One day it could be heavy industry in the north, and later in the week it could be infrastructure in the south.
Your main tasks are
- Plan and create drawings for the different parts of the project with regard to lifting, rigging, bracing and transportation of products between 100kg and over 9000 tons.
- Carry out simple strength calculations
- Create construction drawings
- Support sales and project staff
- Methodology descriptions
- Preparing and planning projects
- Creating schedules
- Creating risk analyses
- Calculating the price of projects
- Conceptual drawings for sales purposes
- 3D lifting simulation and 3D scanning
- Calculation and quotation work
Your profile
We are looking for people who enjoy having several balls in the air at the same time, who like to take responsibility and play a central role in the company. To succeed in your work, you need to be a team player who sees the big picture, be structured yet flexible, and work independently and proactively with your tasks.
We expect you to have a relevant college or university degree and at least 5 years of work experience in a similar role. You are comfortable with CAD programs, preferably AutoCAD and Inventor. If you have previously worked with lifting heavy products and construction, this is a clear advantage.
